Oh wow- I have pic of him - in the squadron from family- and they made a recent movie of him and the rest of them- but he wont talk to the rest of us now - he kind of crabby. he lives in portland oregon . wont answer phone ect. Amazing stories of that. Excits me every time cause my dad told me all about those-

I've got tons of books on WW2 and the Black Sheep squadron, so I've heard of Fred Avery since I was about 12 when I bought a book from Pappy at an airshow. I hope you got some good stories out of him. Thanks for sharing.
